info

So I’ve told you a bit about me, shared my wedding portfolio and this is where I explain how I work and give you details of the investment involved.  I try to keep everything as simple as possible with one wedding package which you can add to.  However, I understand that every wedding is totally individual, so if you’d like me to tailor make a package for you, then I’m happy to discuss your day and work out a plan with you.

Lucy absolutely blew us away with her photographic work.  She was quite simply the best value of all the things we paid for for our wedding.

Wedding Package – what it includes…

An initial wedding consultation with you to find out all about your plans and start plotting.

A further meeting or recce with you before the wedding day to chat through the final details.

A full day of photography: I arrive between 2 – 3 hours before the wedding ceremony to cover bridal preparations and I carry on shooting until  approximately an hour after the first dance. By doing this, I capture the whole story.

Post Production: I individually edit each photo and deliver a selection of approximately 950 images of the day – a mixture of both colour and black & white photos.

Online gallery – where you & your guests can view and download the high resolution images.

Mobile Gallery App  – where you can view a smaller selection (up to 200) of your favourite photos on your mobile phone or tablet – and share this app with your nearest and dearest.

Lucy photographed our wedding and we can’t recommend her highly enough; she is huge fun, immensely talented and she took the most fantastic photographs.  She made everyone feel incredibly at east when they were being photographed.

FAQ’s

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?

I have a creative natural, relaxed reportage style. Having studied Documentary Photography & Photojournalism,  I use this storytelling style on your wedding day capturing everything as it happens throughout the day.  The only time I offer direction is during your formal group and couple photos, but even then it’s minimal, offered with a sense of humour and done to make sure everyone enjoys the experience and feels comfortable.  I’m not a fan of having my photo taken and feel the best portraits and photos come when you and your guests are relaxed and just enjoying the day rather than worrying about the camera.  I also work like a trouper… to bring energy and my 12 years of wedding photography experience to your day, so that I can take the best darned photos each time.

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE? (THE GEEKY BIT)

I shoot with 2 Digital SLR Canon camera bodies – 5D MKIV & 5D MKIII and use prime lenses as much as I can throughout the day. I have also just invested in a new Sony A7iii mirrorless camera.  In my kitbag, I carry a full complement of lenses including 24mm, 35mm, 50mm & 85mm prime lenses as well as a 16-35mm (wide-angle), 24-70mm (general lens) & 70-200mm (zoom lens) so that I’m ready for any eventuality.  I also use off-camera flash & Elinchrom lights when required.

DO I NEED A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER ON THE DAY?

If you have more than 100 guests, or the wedding is spread over more than one venue and you would like coverage of everything going on through the day, I would say yes.  The second photographer adds another dimension to the wedding photos and between us we can ensure that all aspects of the day are captured.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?

Yes – I’m always happy to travel and have covered weddings all over the UK & overseas.  Reasonable travel costs are charged if you are more than an hour’s drive from where I live in Suffolk.  If you need me to give you a bespoke quote on the travel costs, please contact me and I will put this together for you.  Fuel is charged at £0.45 per mile.

WHAT IF YOU ARE ILL ON THE DAY?

I have been shooting weddings for over 10 years and have never missed a wedding.  I would have to be admitted to hospital for me not to be there on your big day!  However, if that does happen … (yikes), then I have a great network of photographers – and I will ensure that someone fabulous is there in my stead.

WHEN DO YOU START / FINISH SHOOTING?

I usually arrive about 2-3 hours before the wedding ceremony to cover the bridal preparations – whilst my assistant covers the groom before, usher’s lunch, guests arriving, etc.  I tend to leave about an hour after the first dance, to ensure the whole day is covered – but leave before people start melting…

ARE YOU INSURED?

Yes indeed, I have Public Liability insurance covering me up to £2 million and Professional Indemnity insurance.

DO YOU EDIT THE PHOTOS?

Yes, I edit all of the photos individually using Lightroom and Photoshop to ensure a consistently beautiful style throughout.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

LOTS!  For a full day’s coverage, I usually deliver approximately 950 High Resolution Photos – or more…

HOW LONG DO WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

I send a collage of photos within 2-3 days as a quick preview of your wedding day.  I then ask for between 4-6 weeks to deliver the rest.  I know what it’s like – you can’t wait, so I do the best I can to deliver your photos as soon as I can, but without rushing as the post production is a vital part of the process which I concentrate on to make sure your photos are the best they can be.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING?

I will edit your images and share the password protected gallery with you.  I give you the option of making any of the photos private, before you can then share the gallery with your friends and family.  You can download high resolution copies direct from the gallery and order professional prints online too.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?

I limit the amount of weddings I shoot to 25 a year, so that I can give each couple the individual attention that I feel each wedding requires, so I would recommend booking as soon as you can to avoid missing out.

WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

If you want to book me, which is a fabulous thing to do, please just let me know!

I will send you a booking form to find out a few more details about your wedding day along with an invoice for the £500 booking fee.  Once this booking fee is paid, I hold the date for you in my diary.  It’s as simple as that.

A few weeks before your wedding day, we meet up (if location and time allows) or have a video chat to go over the final details of your day – including the schedule and list of formal group photos, so that we’re all set.

The balance is due a week before your wedding and by then I will know everything I need to about you, and you will know all about me, so that all you have to do is get on with your wedding day, whilst I capture it all.

So please GET IN TOUCH and we can go from there.
